Internet
- High speed wireless service in all bedrooms and common areas.
- High speed wired connection in most bedrooms - see your property details page.
- Multiple devices may be connected including tablets, phones, laptops, games consoles and routers. To use more than 2 devices at the same time you must register them on the Optify Portal. This also avoids having to log in each time you connect so we recommend you do this for all your devices.
Optify TV
- Several of the most popular TV channels are available on the Optify TV service.
- This can be accessed by visiting the Optify TV website while you are connected to the Optify network.
Terms and conditions
The use of services connecting to the University of Edinburgh network falls under the University computing regulations. All other usage must comply with Optify terms and conditions.
Connecting to the internet
- The Optify wireless network is available in all bedrooms and common areas. Just connect to "Optify" using the wireless connection utility on your device.
- There is a wired data point in every bedroom. Just connect your computer using the standard network cable which is provided.
- A log in page will pop-up after you have connected your device or when you open a browser.
- We recommend that you register all your devices on the Keysurf Portal so that they connect automaticall with no need to log in every time you connect.
